Important notes on universe
While many of my characters may seem powerful or almost deity like in abilities and background I am strongly against making characters that are overly powerful. Many of them either have great draw backs to their powers or do not have very much control over them. I enjoy playing around with the idea of imperfect god type characters not actual all knowing all powerful type characters.
My ideas and lore comes from many places but mostly Christianity and my love for multidimensional scifi. If any of my ideas on Christianity and how I use it to influence my lore bother you we may not be the best fit, a lot of the reason I work with these topics is to reflect on my own past growing up with it and will not be everyone's cup of tea. That all being said, on the surface all this may appear to be pretty straight up biblical work with a multiverse twist to it some elements of my character/writing do pull from other places such as the Sumerians, Greek mythology and some lovecraftian style creatures/rituals. If any of those make you uncomfortable we also may not be a good fit but feel free to let me know exactly what you would like to avoid and it may be possible!
My universe is designed to allow any and all types of characters/lore with a multiverse aspect built in as well as the room for many gods or many versions of the same gods to exist so please don't feel like we have tor strictly stick to my lore only, I would be more than happy to work with you to combine lore so we can make something both of us enjoy! Normally I prefer to rp in a modern setting but I can work out other time settings if wanted!
If you find anything about my lore confusing please don't be afraid to ask questions! I promise I would be more than happy to clear anything up :), however sometimes if things feel like something is being left out or vague, it is possible that it is intentional.

Definitions

Ruined kingdom of heaven
Hidden away behind a one way portal where angels and gargoyles can leave but never return sits what was once Life's (Jehovah) great kingdom of heaven where all life once lived under her rule and laws of existence. Ever since its downfall where man was cast down to earth the creatures that emerge from it lack any sort of soul or free will, only serving to spread the word of a god that many think no longer even exists.
There have been some angels and gargoyles that have emerged and gained a soul by other means but it is very rare and many end up losing all memory of the hidden kingdom. (If you have an angel character that would not fit this lore but you would like to use please let me know and I will gladly change some things around!)

Angels
Angels are normally soulless creatures lacking free will sent to spread the word and rule of Life (Jehovah). They can appear to have personalities and to be kind but anything or anyone they find that goes against Jehovah's laws of existence they will attempt to terminate and cast down to hell. Some will offer to guide the lost but they do tend to lose patience easily and are known to turn on the human they are playing "Guardian angel" to.
There have been some angels that have either earned a soul over time or by other means but it is rare and they often struggle with their existence and the lack of memory of their life before gaining a soul. (Once again if this does not work with your lore go ahead and let me know and we can change things around!)

Gargoyles
Gargoyles are much stronger versions of angels that are more equipped to fight demons and protect the other angels. Their true forms are often more monstrous with many wings, limbs and eyes as well as a chorus like voice. They do have more human forms but that form is weaker and not as effective as their true form in combat. Just like the angels they do not have free will or a soul, on top of that they must take orders from angels or it will cause them physical pain.
For an unknown reason it is a bit easier for gargoyles to gain a soul and free will of their own but they would still have to listen and protect any angel that shows up.

Life (Jehovah)
Life, also known as the Judeo Christian god Jehovah has not appeared since the fall of her kingdom when humans were cast out for going against her laws of existence, gaining souls and free will. What exactly happed to her and why she continues to send angels and more recently gargoyles out is unknown. Some say the souls she converts are being collected after death to raise her kingdom again but others say that the souls simply vanish because there is nowhere for them to go if they believe in her word and become bound to her.
Of course the popular theory is that Lucifer was the one to ruin her kingdom and trap her within it, why else would hell have risen when Heaven fell?

Wings of creation
It is uncertain if the term "wings of creation' is literal or not but it refers to Lucifer stealing creation magic from Life (Jehovah) before leaving the kingdom to collapse with whatever was happening on the inside to cause it to do so. Three feathers were used to create the weapons Killian gave to his children to be able to easily fight demons with Life's light. Most outside of the family have no clue how Killian might have gotten his hands on these feathers in the first place.

Nine circles of Hell
When the kingdom of heaven fell many others such as the Lucifer and his followers left before the fall could take them with it. As they fell many other realities were brought into existence as a measure to ensure that Life (Jehovah) could never be the singular dictator of reality and natural order. With this decent it allowed for all creation stories to be real as long as they had enough people believing in them, thus giving power to the deities that they prayed to.
Lucifer's last act was to create a universe that would serve in opposition to Life and encourage free will among humans in the form of "sinning" against heaven, from the souls of humans that committed the first sins against Life he would make the first demons, along with his first son Samus. Now any human not tied to another god that commits sin against Life's laws of existence will create another demon when they die, their souls going to whatever circle of hell their sins most closely relate to. Humans that commit heavily commit sins against other humans will not be allowed to transcend to a demon and simply stay as a tortured soul, only given the possibility of ascending when it is thought they have been reformed, which is very rarely actually seen.
Within the past thousand years or so Lucifer himself has missing, leaving hell currently without a permanent ruler instead its eight rings are ruled by powerful demons that barely manage to hold the peace while the ninth ring remains frozen over and empty without its creator to take the crown.

Demons
Demons come into existence one of two ways, either from a soul from a human not bound to another god, "sinning" against Life's laws or between two demons having a child. Half demons are possible but rare and are often unstable in using their powers (See Orchid for more information on this).
Demons have souls, this grants them freewill and thus even if their real role is to encourage humans to not be converted to the rule of Life they can still cause problems, and are very able to make their way to earth. This results in people like Killian and his family trying to keep the peace and stop any demons from taking things too far and exerting too much power over man. Demons can die when on earth, they normally get sent back down to hell where they have to spend many years gaining power back to be able to come to earth again. There are a few ways to either trap them or totally get rid of their souls but it is not easy and often comes with a price.
Much like humans demons come in all shapes and sizes as well as range from good to downright evil, simply put they are not all going to share the same values. (If you have a demon character that you would like to use but they do not exactly fit into this sort of lore please let me know and we can change things around if you would like!)
